A Clear Solution to Your Crooked Teeth
Invisalign® - Manhattan, New York
Video: InvisalignInvisalign uses clear aligner trays to gradually shift teeth into place, and is the easiest way to obtain orthodontic movement. This method is much less painful than traditional metal braces, and almost invisible, so even business professionals can receive treatment and no one need know. Dr. Salehezadeh is certain that Invisalign effectively corrects overcrowding, spaces between teeth and more, because she has been an Invisalign patient herself. Enlarge Video View All Videos
Have you always dreamed of having a straighter, more stunning smile, but don't want to wear braces in order to achieve it? If so, Fine Dental, located in Manhattan, New York, offers Invisalign®, an innovative, modern, and clear alternative to traditional metal brackets and wire braces.
How Does It Work?
To ensure that you achieve optimal results in as little time possible, our dentists will customize and develop your Invisalign® plan using computer imaging. Following the creation of your treatment plan, our team will take impressions of your teeth to send to an outside lab. Once your aligners have been milled, they will be shipped to our Manhattan, New York practice and you will be notified. Using a series of clear, flexible aligners, our dentist can strategically shift your teeth into their proper position, correcting your bite. The first aligner will conform to your current bite, while the rest of the series will gently guide your teeth into alignment, based on the specific movements that our dentists mapped out for your treatment.
How Long Will It Take?
The number of aligners needed is directly dependent on the extent of the correction your teeth require. In most cases, patients require 16 to 30 Invisalign® trays in order to complete treatment. Each tray is worn for approximately two weeks, at least 22 hours a day. The aligners can be conveniently removed prior to eating meals or drinking dark liquids. Because the trays are removable, they don't compromise your oral hygiene, as most traditional braces do. Patients can still brush, floss, and perform fluoride treatments in the same way that they normally would. On average, most patients achieve desirable results within eight months to a year and a half of beginning orthodontic treatment using Invisalign®.
Benefits of Invisalign®
The benefits of Invisalign® extend beyond just cosmetic improvements. In fact, Invisalign® helps to:
Enhance your confidence - By achieving a straight, healthy smile that radiates beauty, you will finally feel proud to show your teeth off to the world. Even during treatment, the virtually invisible aligners will allow you to smile with the confidence of knowing that you are straightening your teeth discreetly
Correct your bite - The Invisalign® system is highly effective at correcting faulty bites and guiding misaligned teeth toward their ideal position.
Improve the function of your mouth - A properly aligned bite will make speaking, biting, chewing, and smiling far easier and more comfortable. Your oral health will improve dramatically as the nooks and crannies where food and bacteria used to get caught will no longer exist. You will be able to maintain optimal oral hygiene for years to come.
Diminish facial and jaw pain - Many patients who have a crooked or misaligned bite suffer from facial or jaw pain. Correcting the bite and realigning the teeth will help to relieve facial and jaw pain.
Long-lasting results - Following orthodontic treatment, our dentists may design a retainer for you to wear to help manage your results. A straight smile can last a lifetime if properly cared for.
Ensure Your Results Last
Once your orthodontic treatment is complete, ongoing care is essential in maintaining the results. Teeth can gradually drift out of alignment without the use of a retainer. At Fine Dental, we offer Vivera® retainers to all patients following orthodontic treatment. These retainers are removable, easy to clean, comfortable, and virtually invisible. Customized Vivera® retainers are milled using state-of-the-art fabrication technology, 3D imaging, and clear thermoplastic materials, making them a superior choice for maintaining straightened teeth without obscuring your beautiful new smile.
