Born and raised until the age of 9 in Iran, Dr. Shawn (Shabnam) Salehezadeh found her way to New York City by way of Texas. Having spent all but one year of her American life in Texas,  Dr. S decided to change things up a little by attempting a life in NYC for just one year... That was in 2004!

Dr. Salehezadeh received her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Texas in Houston in 2003. She then completed an extra year of residency (AEGD) at University of Pacific in Union City, California. Having experienced living on the West Coast for a year, Dr. S then chose to relocate to the East Coast briefly before permanently returning to Texas. Or so she thought!  She hasn’t moved from New York City since...

Dr. Salehezadeh is a member of the American Dental Association and a very active member of her local dental organizations. She is a Board Member of the New York County Dental Society and serves as president of the Eastern Dental Society, serving the dentists of Manhattan. 

Like a lot of the patients that she treats, Dr. S grew up fearing and disliking her treating dentists. As an adult, when she opted for dentistry as her career choice, she vowed to be the polar opposite of the dentists she grew up averting. Her warm personality and superb dental skills allow her to do just that.
